Concentrated lecture week in membrane- and textile building for architects and engineers
Professionals in the fields of architecture and engineering as well as craftsmen, managers and interested people in membrane and lightweight structure building should pay attention to the new English-taught Tensile intense Program of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau-Rosslau, Bauhaus Campus, Germany. The program can be passed in only one intensive week from 17th to 22nd of September 2017.
It is created to provide a concentrated overview and universal understanding for the entire process of textile building, starting with the design, following the steps of analysis, detailing, dimensioning, calculating and ending with the erection of a membrane and lightweight structure. For the sake of variety an excursion to Berlin is organized in the middle of the week, where tensile structures are visited and explained, for instance the Olympic Stadium. TENSILE intense takes place parallel to the attendance week of the second semester of the master program in Membrane Structures at Anhalt University. Therefore it also is a platform for participants to take advantage of joining the worldwide network of membrane building specialists, exchanging experiences and news acquired from the state of the art.
After completion of this concentrated lecture week the Certificate “Tensile Archineering®” will be provided. It can be extended to the University Certificate Study program as well as the Master Program in Membrane Structures at Anhalt University as it is acknowledged as an introductory part of these two programs containing the following topics: Architectural and structural principals, Membrane Programs, Mechanical and Physical Properties, Building Physics, Detailing, Structural Design concepts, Cables, Economics, Welding and Testing hands on, Pneumatics, Foldable and Convertibles.
