Locations

Three campuses. One university.

With campuses in Köthen, Bernburg, and Dessau, Anhalt University calls three extraordinary cities home: Köthen as a traditionally important center of culture and education, Bernburg with its focus on natural sciences, and Dessau, whose Bauhaus inspires people worldwide with architecture and design.

Anhalt University is glad to be a part of this attractive trio of cities.

We are looking forward to your visit!

Bernburg

A unique campus with university buildings and residence halls. The beautiful historical city direct on the Saale river. Parks full of shrub gardens and other plants can be found everywhere. The Bernburg-Strenzfeld campus shines with a high quality of life and studies. The departments of Agriculture, Ecotrophology and Landscape Development (Dept. 1) and Economics (Dept. 2) are located here. Well-equipped sports facilities and attractive leisure time activities offer the perfect way to work off stress. 53 professors supervise around 3,000 students.

Köthen

If you are looking for a classic or modern engineering degree program, Köthen is right for you. In three departments - Computer Science and Languages (Dept. 5), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management (Dept. 6), and Applied Biosciences and Process Engineering (Dept. 7) - around 3,500 students and 55 professors study and research. The Köthen campus is also international. At the Preparatory School (Landesstudienkolleg), around 430 international students prepare to study successfully in Germany. And to balance out the stress of studying, there are large sport facilities, many sports courses, and an active student club. This is also where Anhalt University’s (administrative) heart lies.

Dessau

In-demand professionals for design and planning often come from Dessau. Directly next to the legendary Bauhaus are Architecture, Facility Management and Geoinformation (Dept. 3) and Design (Dept. 4). The modern study facilities win over students: In the University’s printing house, the large potter’s workshop, and the computer labs, students can experiment and try things out. Afterwards, they can go to the pleasant student café. The city center is also nearby. 47 professors supervise around 1,400 students.
