Sofia

Confused and scared, I didn't know how to go on with life at that moment. The news from my acquaintance, who informed me by phone about the possibility of studying at HS Anhalt, was like a salvation at that time.

My name is Sofia, I come from the Ukrainian city of Melitopol, where I did my Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Taxation. Like many others, I came to Germany by chance.  On 24 February, we were woken up by explosions in our room in the dormitory. A few hours later, I was on my way home with a bag, not knowing that I would never return to my dorm or to the university.

The route that had a destination at the end of the road. All conscious adults at that time suddenly no longer had a destination, familiar paths were suddenly lost, people were being sought.

Studying did not come easily to me. On the other hand, the first semester was over in a flash and I had my first successes in the exams and projects I had taken, the foreign language had made the successes possible and it is unbelievable what one has potential for.

With the project competition and the scholarship I won, I now see even more motivation and future prospects to go on and do better, to stay strong, to help others and to motivate them.

My city is occupied. FOR NOW. With my project idea, I had proposed that agribusinesses and individual farmers develop the website, which will serve as a platform for the exchange of actors in the agricultural sector. This will be divided according to regions, agricultural crops, groups of interested parties and will include advisory services as well as proposals on the.

Ukraine was and is an agricultural state and will be my home again. I am convinced of this, which is why I am now studying and researching here in Germany, at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences
