  • About the program

    The program promotes the active participation of young scientists in conferences and research stays abroad. On this way, Anhalt University increases the public awareness of the excellent work done by the young scientists and also enhances the university´s reputation and international prestige. The program promotes the scientific work of excellent students and doctoral candidates.

  • What is promoted?

    The program grants funds for the participation in conferences, lecture tours and research stays in foreign countries. It allows for the participation in international scientific events at partner universities abroad. 

    key prerequisites:

    All contributions must to be related to further scientific development of the young scientists. Research-related goals and work must be directly linked to the subject matter of the lecture, the topic of the event or the research period. The contribution / lecture must present current own scientific findings or gain new findings during a research stay.

  • Type and amount of the promotion

    The promotion consists of a grant to the travel costs amounting to the applicable travel allowance of the DAAD.

  • How can I apply?

    Please send your application in paper form to the International Office. In well-reasoned exceptions the application can be sent electronically as PDF-file.

    The following documents must be submitted:

    • application form
    • a written statement justifying/explaining the importance of the travel with regard to the professional opportunities of the applicant and the international scientific cooperation
    • a letter of recommendation from a responsible professor
    • a list of academic career including publications, awards and stays abroad
    • the application language is german and/or english

  • Deadlines

    30th of November (for projects starting from January to June of the following year.)

    30th of May (for projects starting as of July of the same year.)

    The date of the postmark is significant.

    The selection committee consists of representatives of the professorate, the International Office and the students.

    While wating for the final confirmation, you should start looking for visa, accommodation and insurance. For international insurance you can check to compare different insurance offers.
