Gründerzentrum - Engineering and Management

... and before eating: don't forget to wash your hands! Of course with soap. Ideally with lukewarm water. What every child knows - and hopefully does - is not that easy in the UK and some other countries. The reason: there are only separate taps. The decision is ice cold or boiling hot. Until now.

After spending a semester abroad in Edinburgh, Denny Schenk, a student in industrial engineering and growing up with the advantages of the mixer tap, developed with his best friend Artur Napiórkowski a device that can mix hot water in no time at all: the "Retromixer", an adapter for connecting separate taps .

The idea was so original that last year the founding team not only made it into "Dragon's Den", the BBC model of the "Lion's Den", but also raised more than £ 4,000 through a crowdfunding campaign to help them to be able to produce the first batch of retro mixers. FOUND IT! gave in particular support to the conception and implementation of this campaign. By the end of April 2017, more than 6,000 retro mixers had been sold.
