Starting Your Studies

Be well-informed for your start at Anhalt University

Welcome to winter semester 2020/21 and the orientation programs at the start of studies on October 5, 2020.

Introductory sessions are offered to first-semester-students from Monday, October 5, 2020. For details, visit the webpages of the Anhalt University campus where your degree program is offered – Bernburg, Köthen or Dessau - by clicking the links below.

At Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, we intend to run the majority of courses this winter semester as on-campus classes. This has been scheduled in accordance with the safety and hygiene regulations and will to be continuously assessed in view of COVID-19 infection rates. Some degree programs will run online and/or hybrid courses. The schedule for your degree program are available on the University timetabling software WebUntis.

As a rule, courses are run as on-campus classes for first-semester students. All other courses are offered as on-campus classes, hybrid classes (i.e. run simultaneously as on-campus and online class), online classes or combining online and on-campus elements (blended learning). To enable attendance, students should take up residence at their place of study, ie. in either Bernburg, Köthen or Dessau, or somewhere close by.

For international students, all courses are offered as hybrid classes. International students who have been able to enter Germany for the start of studies attend classes on campus, those who have not follow classes online. Should your VISA application process result in you entering Germany after the start of studies, you may easily move from following classes online to on-campus.
