Regulations for the Departments and the Studienkolleg

According to the framework plan for restrictions affecting teaching for the summer semester 2021 (last revised: June 25, 2021) Anhalt University conducts restricted teaching operations as specified in the levels listed below. The implementation of teaching and examination operations is regulated gradually depending on the local infection rate at the respective university campus. The university management determines and announces the valid level for the respective campuses of Anhalt University.

The following levels are currently in effect:

Bernburg Campus: Level 0

Dessau Campus: Level 0

Köthen Campus: Level 0

Levels

  • Level 4

    The 7-day incidence in Bernburg/Köthen/Dessau is higher than 165 for 3 consecutive days.

    Departments:

    • All courses and examinations are to be held as online courses.
    • Excluded from this regulation are mandatory courses of practical and artistic nature, including practical work, projects and final theses in laboratories or  similar facilities such as workshops and computer pools as well as examinations which cannot be conducted digitally.
    • For on-campus examinations, the number of participants is limited to a maximum of 25 students plus  invigilators per room. Regardless of this, the maximum number of persons per room - as specified in the  room list (last updated: April 27, 2021) - shall not be exceeded.
    • For all other in-person events as specified above, the maximum number of participants per room is  10 students plus teaching staff. The maximum number of persons as specified in the room list shall not be exceeded.
    • Outdoor classes may be held in groups of up to a maximum of 15 people plus  teaching staff. The applicable regulations are laid out in the current versions of the Containment Ordinance (Eindämmungsverordnung) of the Saxony-Anhalt state government, as well as in the Infection Protection Act (Infektionsschutzgesetz).
    • Excursions cannot take place.

       

      Studienkolleg:

      • All courses and examinations are to be held as online courses.
      • Exceptions to this are final-year classes and examinations which cannot be conducted digitally.
      • Final-year classes are taught in hybrid mode or an alternate mode of independent study and on-campus teaching (Wechselunterricht). For on-campus classes, group sizes are limited to a maximum of 15 people plus teaching staff per group.
      • Level 3

        The 7-day incidence in Bernburg/Köthen/Dessau is higher than 100 for 3 consecutive days or below 165 for seven consecutive days.

        Departments:

        • All courses and examinations are to be held as online courses.
        • Excluded from this regulation are mandatory courses of practical and artistic nature, including practical work, projects and final theses in laboratories or  similar facilities such as workshops and computer pools as well as examinations which cannot be conducted digitally.
        • For on-campus examinations, the number of participants is limited to a maximum of 25 students plus invigilators per room. Regardless of this, the maximum number of persons per room - as specified in the room list (last updated: April 27, 2021) - shall not be exceeded.
        • For all other in-person events as specified above, the maximum number of participants per room is 10 students plus teaching staff. The maximum number of persons as specified in the room list shall not be exceeded.
        • Outdoor classes may be held in groups of up to a maximum of 15 people plus teaching staff. The applicabe regulations are laid out in the current versions of the Containment Ordinance (Eindämmungsverordnung) of the Saxony-Anhalt state government.
        • Excursions cannot take place.

           

          Studienkolleg:

          • Classes are to be taught in hybrid mode or an alternate mode of independent study and on-campus teaching (Wechselunterricht). For on-campus classes, group sizes will be limited to a maximum of 15 people plus teaching staff per group.
          • Students and teaching staff are to be tested twice a week for the coronavirus SARS-CoV- 2. Certified medical examinations carried out and subsequent test results issued at medical facilities, pharmacies and public test centers (Bürgertestzentren) as well as tests supervised and carried out on the premises of Anhalt University will be accepted.
        • Level 2

          The 7-day incidence in Bernburg/Köthen/Dessau is under 100 for at least seven days .

          Departments:

          • Lectures and seminars at the respective campus may be held in hybrid mode. Decisions will be taken at department level. The hybrid mode is intended to provide the best possible support for students who are unable to attend on-campus classes.
          • The maximum number of persons per room is listed in the room list (last updated: April 27, 2021). This number may not be exceeded.
          • Outdoor classes may be held in groups of up to a maximum of 15 people plus teaching staff. The applicable regulations are laid out in the current versions of the Containment Ordinance (Eindämmungsverordnung) of the Saxony-Anhalt state government.
          • Excursions are permitted to areas with an incidence below 50 and provided that an appropriate hygiene concept is observed. Additional approval by the Leiterin der Verwaltung (Director of Central Administration) is mandatory for excursions already approved if the 7-day incidence reaches or exceeds 50 on the day the excursion is scheduled to start. Local hygiene regulations and containment ordinances applicable at the destination have to be observed. The university's transport service (Fahrdienst) is available for excursions. The current protection and hygiene measures must be observed.

           

          Studienkolleg:

          • At the Studienkolleg, classes are to be held in fixed groups of up to 25 students.
          • Students and teaching staff are to be tested twice a week for the coronavirus SARS-CoV- 2. Certified medical examinations carried out and subsequent test results issued at medical facilities, pharmacies and public test centers (Bürgertestzentren) as well as tests supervised and carried out on the premises of Anhalt University will be accepted.

           

        • Level 1

          The 7-day incidence in Bernburg/Köthen/Dessau is below 50 for at least seven days.

          Departments:

          • Lectures and seminars at the respective campus will be held in either on-campus, hybrid or online mode.
          • The maximum number of persons per room is listed in the room list (last updated: April 27, 2021). This number may not be exceeded.
          • Excursions are permitted to areas with an incidence below 50 and provided that an appropriate hygiene concept is observed. Additional approval by the Leiterin der Verwaltung (Director of Central Administration) is mandatory for excursions already approved if the 7-day incidence reaches or exceeds 50 on the day the excursion is scheduled to start. Local hygiene regulations and containment ordinances applicable at the destination have to be observed. The university's transport service (Fahrdienst) is available for excursions. The current protection and hygiene measures must be observed.

           

          Studienkolleg:

          • At the Studienkolleg, classes are to be held in fixed groups of up to 25 students.
          • Students and teaching staff are to be tested twice a week for the coronavirus SARS-CoV- 2. Certified medical examinations carried out and subsequent test results issued at medical facilities, pharmacies and public test centers (Bürgertestzentren) as well as tests supervised and carried out on the premises of Anhalt University will be accepted.

           

        • Level 0

          The 7-day incidence in Bernburg/Köthen/Dessau is below 35 for at least seven days.

          Departments:

          • Lectures and seminars at the respective campus will be held in either on-campus, hybrid or online mode.
          • The number of persons per room may exceed the number of persons specified in the room list (last revised: April 27, 2021). If this is the case, a medical mouth and nose covering must be worn by everyone throughout the class/activity.
          • During indoor classes/activities, teaching staff and students are exempt from wearing a medical mouth and nose covering after the students have taken their seats, provided that the prescribed number of persons in the room is not exceeded (specified in the room list) and that the persons are seated at the designated places only (keeping a distance of more than 1.50 m).
          • Excursions are permitted to areas with an incidence below 35. Additional approval by the Leiterin der Verwaltung (Director of Central Administration) is mandatory for excursions already approved if the 7-day incidence reaches or exceeds 50 on the day the excursion is scheduled to start. Local hygiene regulations and containment ordinances applicable at the destination have to be observed. The university's transport service (Fahrdienst) is available for excursions. The current protection and hygiene measures must be observed.

           

          Studienkolleg:

          • At the Studienkolleg, classes are to be held in fixed groups of up to 25 students.
          • Students and teaching staff are to be tested twice a week for the coronavirus SARS-CoV- 2. Certified medical examinations carried out and subsequent test results issued at medical facilities, pharmacies and public test centers (Bürgertestzentren) as well as tests supervised and carried out on the premises of Anhalt University will be accepted.
          • After the students have taken their seats in rooms used for teaching purposes, teaching staff and students are exempt from wearing a medical mouth and nose covering.

        Attending classes and examinations requires one of the following:

        • the submission of proof of a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result from a test performed within 48 hours prior to the start of the class/activity. The following are accepted: Certified examinations and subsequent test results carried out and issued on campus, at medical facilities, pharmacies and public test centers (Bürgertestzentren) as well as tests supervised and carried out on the premises of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences;

        • written or electronic proof of full vaccination against the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. People are considered fully vaccinated against the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 14 days after their last shot required for a complete vaccination according to the recommendations of the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) at the Robert Koch Institute, or

        • proof of having recovered from a SARS-CoV-2 infection. Proof of having recovered from a previous infection with the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is acceptable in analog or digital form, provided the infection was detected by means of a PCR test. Only PCR tests carried out at least 28 days and not more than 6 months prior to the event/activity are acceptable.
