Smart Innovation Workshop (Amsterdam & Almere, Netherlands)

Prof. Dr. Cornelia Scott and Anand Jayakrishnan and a group of Master students (MBA International Trade and Master Online Communication) from over 13 countries visited the Netherlands to explore more about SMART cities and innovative management. The students were able to delve into the world of Smart Cities and everything that encompasses designing such an ecosystem by benchmarking the Smart regions of Amsterdam and Almere.

 

The City of Almere presented their concept on Smart Cities organized by Prof. Dr. Frans Jorna, Chief Digital Officer of Almere and visiting faculty at the MBA International Trade programme. Furthermore, the event showcased the efforts on Upscaling by Henk Meijer, Director of Energy of Upcycling as well as an interactive case study on Geodata Innovation with the Geo-Economist Emil Otte. Another highlight of the workshop was the event conducted by Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences to enable students to gain insight to their start-up program - Smart City Academy.
