Fachbereich 6

"My studies at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen were very practice-oriented and geared towards a successful start in my professional life.”

Ferdinand Lorek, alumnus of our study program Industrial Engineering

Become an engineer? This is our field of expertise!

We electrify, we digitize, we build machines... and engineers!

In Department 6, the young engineers of tomorrow are students in our Electrical and Mechanical Engineering degree programs. In the bachelor's and master's degree programs, we teach and conduct research on current technical and technological issues and work closely with companies and institutes, which is something that is a real plus in the real world of practical application!

The future will ask the questions - our graduates will provide smart answers.

We educate (with) tradition

Teaching young engineers of tomorrow, shaping the future: This has been our mission since 1891. This is how far back the educational tradition at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and its predecessor institutions goes back in history. From an academy to a polytechnic to a technical university, it has firmly established itself in the educational landscape as a guarantor of high-quality education in the engineering sciences.

Today, it has made a name for itself as a university of applied sciences - and so has our Department as a place for educating engineers: Practical application is very important to us, because we know from experience how important proximity to industry is for answering future technical and technological questions.
