Vertretungsprof. Dr. Natasha Aruri
Natasha Aruri [Dr-Phil, MSc, MArch, BArch] – Urbanist, architect and activist working east and north of the Mediterranean as consultant, conceptor and coordinator. She is co-founder and -director of UR°BANA, a collective concerned with urban research, design and action. Her research focuses on cities of exasperated insecurities; spacio-politics of and resistance to (neo)colonialism; and facing uncertainties through people-based, dynamic strategies of spatial design. She has taught in different settings and formats, as guest lecturer at different universities and as trainer with civil organizations and is the City Research Team Lead for Ramallah within the SSHRC-financed, 7-cities research project “Urbanization, gender and the global south: a transformative knowledge network”.
Currently,2018, she is Guest Professor for Urban Planning (together with Andreas Brück) at Dessau Institute of Architecture (DIA).
