Anhalt PV Performance and Lifetime Laboratory

Our Anhalt Photovoltaic Performance and Lifetime Laboratory (APOLLO) offers performance, reliability, and lifetime tests of photovoltaic (PV) modules and systems. We are constantly testing emerging PV module technologies to develop climate-specific test methods and energy yield prediction algorithms within our international networks PVCAMPER and AgriPVplus at test sites in Singapore, France, and the USA.
The Anhalt Photovoltaic Performance and Lifetime Laboratory (APOLLO) focuses on Photovoltaic metrology,  performance measurements, reliability, and durability Photovoltaic modules and systems. We operate an outdoor and indoor laboratory with state-of-the-art test facilities to characterize Photovoltaic cells, modules, and system components under laboratory and real operation conditions.

APOLLO is part of the TruePowerTM Alliance, founding member of PhotoVoltaic Collaborative to AdvanceMulti-climate Performance Energy Research (PV CAMPER), and funder of the AgriPVplus Network.

Highlights of our laboratory facility

  • Class AAA LED sun simulator with two independent light sources according to IEC standards
  • Mobile LED sun simulator to characterize PV modules in the field
  • High-precision meteorological equipment for on-site measurement of environmental parameters
  • Photovoltaic research test facility for energy yield measurements of single PV Modules and grid-connected PV systems
  • AgriPVplus demonstrator with vertical east/west mounted Bifacial PV modules

Collaboration

As your partner in national and international research or industrial projects, we offer the development and testing of new PV module technologies and components. If you are looking for an academic partner for funding projects or looking for a reliable test facility for PV prototypes or independent third-party testing, please feel free to contact us.
