SUMMARY:Self-Confidence and Visibility in Networks!
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Offer from Our Network Partner MeCoSa MINT Career\nPl
ease note: This workshop is for female students only\n\nSelf-Confidence an
d Visibility in Networks!\nNetworking is the method with the best chances
for professional success! Studies show that 70% to 90% of attractive profe
ssional positions inside and outside the academic world are found by consc
iously making yourself visible in the network. The right internal and exte
rnal network contacts can facilitate and support work processes by encoura
ging and inspiring you.\nDuring your studies\, privileged groups of people
continue to shape networking and determine structures\, norms and rules.
Based on various socialization factors\, people who belong to marginalized
groups in the university context are structurally disadvantaged to a grea
ter or lesser extent.\nThis leads to particular challenges for women and o
ther underrepresented groups of people\, which are often associated with f
rustration\, resistance and anger. In order to change your own behavior\,
you first need to understand and accept that it always feels a little frag
ile and vulnerable when you set out on a journey into unknown territory to
expand your own network activities.\nThe workshop addresses the different
ambivalences on the topic of visibility in professional networks.\nThe ai
m of the workshop is to enable the participants to reflect on themselves a
nd their situation as students in a so-called "safe space" in order to dev
elop a suitable network strategy for themselves.\nThe idea behind this is
the comfort zone model: staying in the comfort zone with one foot\, but ac
tively leaving it with the other foot.\nThe workshop starts right here and
serves to encourage and empower the participants to experience more self-
efficacy and have fun making their own personality visible in relevant net
 works.\nWorkshop with\n Development of individual\, solution-oriented str
ategies that can be integrated into the participants' personal everyday st
udy life Exchange of experiences\, perspectives and feedback from the pee
r group and from the coach \nMaximum number of participants: 15 people\nWh
