Course content and objectives

In terms of value, real estate represents the largest portion of national wealth in Germany and therefore requires highly professional management. The knowledge and skills necessary for this are taught in the master's degree program Facility and Real Estate Management at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences -
with excellent future prospects for graduates.

Facility and Real Estate Management looks at the overarching user-specific and real-estate processes using modern management tools. Technical, economic, legal, and social aspects are examined in all phases of the real estate life cycle.

Anhalt University’s degree program brings together real estate, facility management, business studies, architecture, and urban development in an interdisciplinary way. The program aims to teach a life-cycle perspective of real estate and facilities while considering cost optimization and increased efficiency. Courses are interdisciplinary and take place at two locations and
in two departments. In Dessau, the Department of Architecture, Facility Management and Geoinformation contributes the majority of the technical subjects in the master’s program; the real estate part is carried out by the Department of Economics in Bernburg.
