Course content and objectives
Real estate project development has significant influence on planning and construction as well as use and utilization of buildings. The focus of the program is on a holistic view of the project development process and the resulting future prospects concerning usage requirements and sustainability as well as on the optimization of real estate costs, financing and investments.
The aim is an interdisciplinary conflation of real estate project development and administration, business administration, building technology, architecture and urban development. Electives allow for an individual specialization, e.g. in real estate management or valuation.

Career Opportunities
The program enables gradutes to take over demanding managerial functions in real estate project development and management from the conceptional planning to the utilization of realty. Furthermore, graduates are qualified to take up a doctorate.
The master's degree program in Facility and Real Estate Management lasts four semesters and comprises 120 credits. The program is module-based and includes compulsory modules, elective modules and bridging modules. The first semester includes compulsory and bridging modules. The bridging modules are based on the undergraduate program. Compulsory and elective modules are offered in the second and third semesters. Two elective modules must be completed. The fourth semester includes the preparation of the master's thesis and the colloquium for the master's thesis.

Admission requirements
Admission requirement for the master's degree program in Facility and Real Estate Management is a qualified university bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Real Estate, or in comparable degree programs with a normal program length of at least 3 years.
With regard to the interdisciplinary nature of Facility and Real Estate Management, comparable degree programs include Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, and Business Administration – provided that modules related to facility and/or real estate management were completed within the curriculum. The program committee decides whether a degree program is recognized as comparable.

Graduates of Facility and Real Estate Management have a wide range of professional opportunities in a very large market. The demand for graduates is very high in small to medium-sized companies and corporations as well as in the public sector.
Facility and real estate managers are employed in leadership roles in middle management. You can work in any industry: In the automotive industry, the mechanical engineering sector, the chemical industry, for the banking, airport and hotel industries, for hospitals, for educational institutions and for leisure facilities such as soccer arenas and water parks. Facility and real estate managers can also be employed by real estate companies such as project developers, investment companies, real estate financiers, real estate service providers and facility service companies.
Graduates of the master's degree program are also qualified to pursue a doctorate in the field of facility and real estate management.

Facility and Real Estate Management includes the administration and management of buildings, construction plants and facilities, and covers, for the optimization all cost-relevant processes, the entire life cycle of a property from planning and realization through the utilization phase to refurbishment or demolition. This expanding industry has developed into a management discipline with specific legal issues - especially in terms of contract and liability management, construction law, architectural/engineering law and commercial tenancy law, etc., without a knowledge of which the task of facility management becomes near impossible.

Ist der MIP ein konsekutiver Masterstudiengang?
Der Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung ist ein konsekutiver Masterstudiengang. Konsekutive Masterstudiengänge sind als vertiefende, verbreiternde, fachübergreifende oder fachlich andere Studiengänge ausgestaltet. Weiterbildende Masterstudiengänge hingegen werden durch die Ausrichtung auf die berufliche Qualifikation geprägt und setzen daher qualifizierte berufspraktische Erfahrung von in der Regel nicht unter einem Jahr voraus.
Für die Zulassung zum Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung ist keine Berufserfahrung notwendig. Haben Sie jedoch Berufserfahrungen nach Ihrem ersten Hochschulabschluss gesammelt, können diese im Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung angerechnet werden. -
Ist der Studiengang MIP akkreditiert?
Da die Hochschule Anhalt systemakkreditiert ist, können alle Studiengänge hochschulintern akkreditiert werden. Das interne Akkreditierungsverfahren für den Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung startet im September 2023 und wird voraussichtlich im Dezember 2024 abgeschlossen sein.

Der Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung ist als Vollzeitstudiengang angelegt. Durch eine individuelle Studienplanung kann eine berufsbegleitende Studienvariante möglich sein. Bitte besprechen Sie dies individuell mit dem Studienfachberater.

Kann ich eine Teil des MIP-Studiums im Ausland absolvieren?
Der Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung beinhaltet ein sogenanntes Mobilitätssemester (3. Fachsemester). In dieser Zeit kann eine Studienphase an einer kooperierenden ausländischen Hochschule oder einer ausländischen Hochschule nach Wahl absolviert und damit Qualifikationen und erweiterten Sprachkompetenzen erworben werden. Weitere Informationen dazu erhalten Sie vom Studienfachberater.

Kann meine Berufserfahrung für den MIP angerechnet werden?
Sie können die Anrechnung von erworbenen Kenntnissen und Fähigkeiten aus einer einschlägigen beruflichen Tätigkeit nach Abschluss des grundständigen Studiums beantragen. Insgesamt können Sie maximal 30 ECTS-Leistungspunkte angerechnet bekommen.
Für 18 Monate berufliche Tätigkeit können 15 ECTS-Leistungspunkte anstatt des Moduls "Wissenschaftliches Projekt" angerechnet werden. Der Nachweis ist durch ein Arbeitszeugnis des Arbeitgebers und eine wissenschaftliche Auseinandersetzung (schriftliche Arbeit) mit den während der berufspraktischen Tätigkeit ausgeführten Projekten/ Tätigkeiten zu erbringen. Vorab besprechen Sie den Inhalt der schriftlichen Arbeit mit dem Studienfachberater und halten die Herangehensweise schriftlich fest.
Weitere berufliche Tätigkeit kann als Wahlpflichtmodul angerechnet werden, wenn eine inhaltliche Übereinstimmung und eine Mindestdauer von sechs Monaten nachweisbar sind. Hierzu prüft der Studienfachberater anhand des Arbeitszeugnisses des Arbeitgebers die Übereinstimmung der erworbenen Kompetenzen mit den Inhalten des Modulhandbuches.
Die Überprüfung und Anrechnung der Leistungen erfolgt auf Empfehlung des Studienfachberaters durch den zuständigen Prüfungsausschuss. -

Wann startet der Studiengang MIP?
Der Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung wird erstmalig ab WS 2023/24 angeboten. Anschließend können Sie sich für jedes Winter- und Sommersemester bewerben.

Was ist das Mobilitätssemester im MIP?
Der Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung beinhaltet ein sogenanntes Mobilitätssemester im 3. Fachsemester.
Der reguläre Ablauf des dritten Fachsemesters umfasst das Absolvieren von drei Wahlpflichtmodulen und von einem wissenschaftlichen Projekt.
Alternativ besteht die Möglichkeit, eine Studienphase an einer kooperierenden ausländischen Hochschule oder einer ausländischen Hochschule nach Wahl zu absolvieren.
Studierende können aber auch die Anrechnung von erworbenen Kenntnissen und Fähigkeiten aus einer einschlägigen beruflichen Tätigkeit nach Abschluss des grundständigen Studiums beantragen. -

Was umfasst das „Wissenschaftliche Projekt“ im MIP?
Das „Wissenschaftliche Projekt“ ist ein Modul im dritten Fachsemester. Es ist eine wissenschaftliche Ausarbeitung zu einem einschlägigen Thema. Es kann in Kooperation mit Behörden oder Unternehmen angefertigt werden. Als Prüfungsvorleistung müssen ein Exposé bzw. ein Wochenbericht angefertigt werden.

Welche Zulassungsvoraussetzungen gelten für den MIP?
Zulassungsvoraussetzung für den Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung ist ein qualifizierter Hochschulabschluss in den Bachelorstudiengängen Immobilien- und Baumanagement, Architektur, Immobilienwirtschaft oder vergleichbaren Studiengängen mit einer Regelstudienzeit von mindestens drei Jahren und 180 ECTS-Leistungspunkten, deutsche Sprachkenntnisse und ein Motivationsschreiben entsprechend der Regelungen in der Studien- und Prüfungsordnung.

Wer koordiniert den MIP?
Der Studiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung wird von einer Hochschulmitarbeiterin koordiniert. Sie plant den Semesterablauf (Stundenplanung, Prüfungsplanung) und beantwortet Studierenden und Lehrenden organisatorischen Fragen rund um den Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung. Der Campus Dessau liegt direkt am Dessauer Hauptbahnhof. Von und nach Leipzig, Magdeburg, Halle und Berlin gibt es mindestens stündliche Verbindungen mit der Deutschen Bahn. Die Autobahn A9 ist 25 Autominuten entfernt. Auf dem Campus sind kostenfreie Parkplätze vorhanden.

Wie lang dauer der MIP?
Die Regelstudienzeit, in der das Studium abgeschlossen werden kann, beträgt vier Semester. Regelstudienverlauf und Modulstruktur sind entsprechend gestaltet. Die Prüfungen können aber auch vorzeitig abgelegt werden.
Die Anrechnung von relevanter Berufserfahrung im Umfang von maximal 30 ECTS-Leistungspunkten und damit die Verkürzung des Studiums auf drei Semester ist möglich.
Das Studium ist als Vollzeitstudium konzipiert. Durch individuelle Studienplanung ist eine berufsbegleitende Studienform möglich, was ggf. zu einer Verlängerung der Studienzeit führen kann.

Wie wird die Qualität des Studiengangs MIP gesichert?
Zur Sicherung der Qualität und Weiterentwicklung des Studiengangs werden drei Instrumente regelmäßig eingesetzt: die interne Akkreditierung, der Studienausschuss und interne Befragungen.
Da die Hochschule Anhalt systemakkreditiert ist, wird der Masterstudiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung regelmäßig intern akkreditiert. Der Studienausschuss ist u. a. für die Qualitätssicherung und die Weiterentwicklung des Studiengangs verantwortlich. Die Module werden regelmäßig evaluiert. Dazu werden Studierende über die einzelnen Lehrveranstaltungen befragt. Im Studiengang Immobilienprojektentwicklung wird jedes Modul mindestens einmal in zwei Jahren evaluiert. Die Ergebnisse besprechen die Lehrenden mit den Studierenden.
