Process Engineering (B. Eng.)

Department Applied Biosciences and Process Engineering

Course content and objectives

Students learn to plan, manage, and monitor processes in the areas listed and to develop and operate facilities and equipment. Based on foundational knowledge of mathematics, natural sciences, engineering, and business, which is taught primarily in the basic modules, the program’s focus in the advanced study period is in the area of planning, designing, and operating processes and process engineering facilities. The knowledge obtained is deepened using examples as processes in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, environmental and recycling technology, and the energy sector are discussed in detail.

Graduates’ areas of professional activity are as varied as the program objectives. They work in areas in the chemical industry, mechanical engineering and plant construction, communal supply and waste institutions, recycling companies, engineering and planning firms, energy technology, public agencies, and business consulting.
