Enrolling in the degree program Integrated Design requires proof of a study-related artistic intellectual aptitude. It is only possible to study after passing an aptitude exam. Applications must therefore be submitted to Anhalt University by April 30.
After submitting the application documents, applicants are sent instructions for a task that must be completed and submitted by a set deadline. The assessment of this task determines which applicants are invited to participate in the acceptance exam in Dessau.
On the examination date, applicants must bring a folder with examples of their work that demonstrate their intellectual and creative potential in visual results. You can choose your artistic means and media, which should be as diverse as possible, e.g. drawings, photographs, animation, sculptures, paintings, and objects (three-dimensional work must be submitted as a photograph). The size of the folder is DIN A2.
In the assessment process, the applicants are given tasks from various areas of design that enable the examiners to get an impression of the applicants’ abilities in perception, conceptualization, and presentation. These tasks are written by the Board of Examiners in advance. At the end of the assessment, a discussion on design is held with the applicants.
