Course content and objectives

The Master and Archineer® program is a career-integrated, distance learning program held in English language only. It was established to create a reliable standard of education in the field of textile building. The aim the program is to educate architects and engineers to design, build, erect, calculate, and maintain wide span lightweight structures. The Master and Archineer® program started in 2006 for the first time and has become very successful. More than 300 students from all over the world have already completed the program. Each summer semester, a new master’s program in Membrane Structures begins. The program consists of three study terms each containing of phases of attendance and additional support via internet for the distance-learning phases. The fourth semester is dedicated to the master’s thesis. During the phases of attendance, basics and skills will be taught as a foundation for the phases of distance learning afterwards. The entire study is characterized by a strict practical orientation enforced by the members of the lecturers, who are international specialists working in the field of textile building.
