The Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt, UBA) in Dessau is located directly at Wörlitzer Platz 1, about five minutes' walk from Dessau's main railway station. It offers an excellent event location for a scientific conference - modern, well-founded and characterized by responsibility towards the environment and society. As Germany's central environmental authority, it stands for independent research, evidence-based policy advice and decades of expertise in areas such as air pollution control, water quality, chemical safety and radiation protection. Dessau itself is conveniently located between Berlin, Leipzig and Halle and is easily accessible by train and car - international guests also benefit from the proximity to Leipzig/Halle Airport. The city combines scientific clarity with cultural depth: as the cradle of the Bauhaus, it offers space for new ideas and perspectives.
