Science in dialog
How does science influence our everyday lives? What questions move people on the ground? And how do scientific findings actually come about? In the Science in Dialogue creative workshop, the "Science - and me?!" format brings together what belongs together: people with questions and researchers with answers. Whether major future topics or very practical everyday questions: Anhalt University of Applied Sciences makes science tangible here. Vivid exhibits and hands-on activities bring research to life and show how science and society can benefit from each other. Together with the German Rectors' Conference and Wissenschaft im Dialog, we create space for open exchange between research and the public.
What is the HRK: German Rectors' Conference
The HRK is the voluntary association of state and state-recognized universities in Germany. It represents their interests to politicians and the public and is committed to the further development of research, teaching and studies.

Science and me?!
Is a joint project of the Academies' Union, the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, the German Research Foundation (DFG), the German Rectors' Conference and Wissenschaft im Dialog. It is funded by the DFG, the Klaus Tschira Foundation, the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation and the Stifterverband.

The dialogue series was developed against the backdrop of disinformation and growing scepticism towards science and aims to highlight the value of science for society and democracy.

3D printing

During the presentation, we will show how digital 3D models can be transformed into real components using additive manufacturing. Using the example of the bear of Saxony-Anhalt, we will demonstrate various scalings and applications - from key rings to larger illustrative models. 3D printing enables the flexible, material-efficient and vivid implementation of individual geometries.

We show how the "MeineWaldKI" app helps to record forest conditions and make changes visible. Visitors can try out for themselves how data can be collected, analyzed and used for research using a smartphone - and actively become part of a research project.
