Research at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences

To research in order to put knowledge into practice: This is what Anhalt University of Applied Sciences has stood for for more than 30 years. Even before 1991, there were strong research institutes at the locations of today's University of Applied Sciences. Today, around 100 projects are being worked on in parallel - often on an interdisciplinary basis. The result is solutions mainly for small and medium-sized companies from Central Germany. The third-party funding raised for this has risen from 6 million euros in 2016 to more than 11 million euros in 2020. These are the focal points:

  • Engineering Sciences: Process, measurement and control technology | Photovoltaics | Construction materials for roads and buildings | Mechanical Engineering incl. CAx technologies | Production engineering incl. 3D printing | Electrical Engineering incl. power electronics

  • Information and Communication Technology & Media Technology: Digital Media Systems incl. AR/VR | Internet of Things and Embedded Systems | Human Centered Computing | Big Data Transport & Evaluation with ML and AI | Geoinformation and Surveying | Digital Planning and Design
