Title: Climate manager - KSI: Erstellung eines integrierten Klimaschutzkonzepts für die Hochschule Anhalt [EN: Creation of an integrated climate protection concept for Anhalt University of Applied Sciences]
Description: The topic of sustainability occupies a prominent place in teaching and research at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and is integrated into all degree programs. The Anhalt UAS also wants to live up to its social responsibility in-house and therefore wants to develop and implement its own climate protection concept. On an ecological and economic level, the focus is on conserving resources. The concept is intended to influence and realign areas of the institution. In line with the motto "Climate protection concerns everyone (including at universities)!", students and staff from all departments and the Administration are to be equally involved in the creation and implementation of the climate protection concept. This offers a double benefit for the university, as it enables it to achieve its own climate protection goals and also creates a topic-related space for exchange, networking and joint initiatives and actions across status groups.
National Climate Protection Initiative
With the National Climate Initiative, the German government has been initiating and funding numerous projects that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions since 2008. Its programs and projects cover a wide range of climate protection activities: From the development of long-term strategies to concrete assistance and investment-based funding measures. This diversity guarantees good ideas. The National Climate Initiative helps to anchor climate protection on the ground. It benefits consumers as well as companies, local authorities and educational institutions.
