Tolkee – From Idea to Language Practice

Drawing on our own learning experiences, we created Tolkee, an AI-powered language learning platform that today supports language teachers and educational institutions in implementing modern, practical language instruction. The international founding team combines expertise in business, artificial intelligence, and linguistics, guiding teaching staff from the initial pedagogical concept through to the concrete implementation of digital conversation exercises.

Tolkee steps in where traditional language courses and common learning apps reach their limits: in free speaking in realistic situations. Rather than replacing teaching staff, Tolkee provides them with tools to specifically control, customize, and safely integrate AI into their lessons—whether for everyday language, professional scenarios, or exam preparation.

Solutions for Educational Institutions

Many teaching staff don’t start with ready-made digital courses, but rather with a target audience, a learning outcome, or a specific classroom situation. Tolkee uses this information to develop interactive language exercises and dialogue simulations that can be individually configured and flexibly integrated into existing teaching formats. Using modern AI technologies such as speech recognition, speech synthesis, and pronunciation analysis, Tolkee creates personalized speaking exercises for individual and group instruction.

In addition to the platform, Tolkee offers pedagogical support, pilot projects, and close collaboration with universities and language schools.
