How can you transfer the reality into virtuality? Imagine this use case: As a future medical doctor you want to communicate with a patient. But, unfortunately the patient is too far away or in quarantine, so that direct personal contact is not possible. Nevertheless, you want to see that person as naturally as possible. So you make use of AR glasses and a 3D scanner to bring the person to you as a real-time "hologram".

One of our students from the Biomedical Engineering (courses taught in English and German) degree program tried to set up and develop a technical system that scans a human or objects in one place and transfers that shape to AR glasses.
