A live IT security arena (a kind of IT security course) took place at the three university locations in August 2026 with the support of the company known_sense from Cologne. The event was organized by the ISI training team and the library team. A colorful mix of employees, professors and students visited the libraries and took part in the arena. At the end of the event, all participants gave good to very good feedback and answered the question about further events of this type in the affirmative.
The only criticism of the format played was the time available per gaming station. In order to ensure a smooth process and to give all participants the opportunity to visit all four stations once within a total playing time of 60 minutes, the time had to be strictly adhered to. However, if you compare the artificially created time pressure with reality, in which stressful situations and then impulsive actions often occur, this criticism turns into a completely positive statement: It is good if you can experience in a playful way what it means to make decisions even when you are pressed for time.
If you missed this event and are very interested in holding it again, please send an email to isi@hs-anhalt.de. There we collect the interested parties and, if there are at least 12 participants, we announce a date when we can play and discuss together again.

There has been a lot of discussion and play for points at the three venues over the past few days. There was an extra point for a particularly creative team name. The following team emerged as the winners of each day:
Köthen: "G,dmFemdWPgh4"
Bernburg: “IT pirates”
Dessau: “.exe”
All team members of the winning teams can look forward to a university backpack. We will inform you in a personal email where the backpacks can be picked up.
From our point of view, the team had the best name: “The Colorful Multifactors”, but that is also a bit of a matter of taste :-).
