Project: Magda’s Baked Goods – Sustainable Innovation Combined with Traditional Craftsmanship
With her project idea, “Magda’s Bakery,”Magdalena Radefeld combines traditional pastry-making with the needs of a modern, environmentally conscious society. Her first product, the “Knusperstollen,” combines classic Stollen dough with a crispy filling made from recycled ingredients and regional products. This innovative concept appeals not only to people with allergies but also to consumers who value sustainability and regional products.
With the support of the scholarship, Magdalena Radefeld plans to market her products online and also offer workshops to bring the art of pastry-making to life. By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern production methods, she aims to reach a broad audience and contribute to sustainability in food production.
Magdalena Radefeld has sold her baked goods at various markets—including the fall market in Launewitz, the children’s festival in Zeitz, and the wine festival in Bad Sulza. She is now organizing her appearances at the Christmas markets, because no Christmas season is complete without a Christstollen—so why not try her innovative take on the “Knusper-Stollen,” inspired by the famous Knusperflocken from Zeitz? Project: POTTKIEKER APP – Making Everyday Life Easier for Families with Tube-Fed Children
Annekathrin Wenske, a sociologist and aspiring nutrition therapist, won over the jury with her idea, the “POTTKIEKER APP.” This app is designed for families with children who rely on tube feeding. It brings together all the important information on the child’s nutrition and development in a user-friendly and easily accessible platform. The app is designed to make daily life easier for these families by offering valuable support through nutrition tips, therapy instructions, and online coaching, and by creating a central hub for all relevant data (weight, height, and nutrition log).
The grant enables Annekathrin Wenske to continue advancing the app’s development and thus make an important contribution to improving the quality of life for families with tube-fed children.
