Mr Ravin Menghani, who presented his research findings on "Optimized Indoor and Outdoor SLAM for a Quadruped-Based Robot Walking Partner to Safely Promote Elderly Mobility and Support Nursing Staff". Mr. Menghani's work focuses on improving Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms specifically for the agile robotic dogs (quadrupeds) Unitree Go1 in outdoor environments for the EduXBot Project. Prof. Dr. Stefan Twieg and Subashkumar Rajanayagam co-authoured the conference and publication. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Stefan Twieg initiated, funded and supervised this project and research.
EduXBot: Second Developer Meeting
The second developer meeting will take place on 15 March 2023 in the robotics lab at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. The EduXBot developers brainstormed and identified alternative technical possibilities in terms of development and protocol implementation with available mobile robotics, AR/VR interfaces, didactic programming applications and a community platform.
EduXBot: First Developer Meeting
Following the kick-off meeting, the first developer meeting took place on 1 March 2023 at the WG Healthcare Research of the University Hospital Halle. Available robotic platforms and their own/developed applications/use cases/scenarios were presented to all to strengthen the co-creative goal of the project at an early stage. Previous participatory studies based on end-users and corresponding evaluations/results were also discussed. Many possible use cases/scenarios and applications related to EduXBot were discussed and documented.
EduXBot: Kick Off Meeting

On 2 February 2023, the EduXBot kick-off meeting took place at Anhalt Köthen University of Applied Sciences. It was indeed a great start, where many important first steps, decisions and information were exchanged. All partners meet in person and discuss/decide on the project plan, milestones and regular communication periods.
