Your contact persons for special requests

  • Liaison lecturer

Overwhelmed or frustrated? Exam nerves or psychological problems? Studying not only offers opportunities and possibilities, but also demands much of you. We are a very informal department and we want everyone to feel comfortable with us. Please talk to us if you have concerns, needs, fears or problems, we will all listen to you.

If you do not know whom to contact, in addition to your own lecturer, our liaison lecturer Prof. Dr. Arne Berger is a good first point of contact.

  • Psychosocial counseling

Studying not only offers opportunities and possibilities, but also demands much of you. Study difficulties, personal problems or psychological problems are not uncommon. In Germany, more than a quarter of the adult population is affected by a mental illness each year.

Counseling can bring relief and some distance from an entrenched situation. It can free you to look for new possibilities and help you find concrete answers.

Of course, you are also welcome if you do not really know what the problem is. Maybe you are just looking for someone to listen and help you "sort out" your thoughts.

At the Studentenwerk (Student Services) Halle, Mr. Jeschke is the contact person for psychosocial counseling. You can easily book appointments online. https://studentenwerk-halle.de/beratung-soziales/psychosoziale-beratung/beratungsangebote

At Anhalt University, Dr. Elke Eckhardt offers psychological counseling for students. You can register by e-mail.

The wide range of consulting services includes

    • working part-time during studies
    • nationwide bank loans and scholarships
    • health insurance
    • accident insurance
    • housing benefit and unemployment benefit II
    • broadcasting fee
    • International Student Identity Card (ISIC Card) see also www.isic.de.
You can order the ISIC card online or you can come to us: We will gladly provide you with an ISIC card if you make a separate appointment.

By the way, we also help with things like book grants, free meals, and assistance for people in very tight financial situation.

Social counseling is always free for you!

You can find all the information on the website of the Studentenwerk Halle.
