Research
The building envelope research group bundles the research activities in the area of the building envelope. Under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Reich, the research focuses on facade-relevant topics such as materials, construction, technology and energy.
Current topics focus on the application of load-bearing glass constructions and the use of smart materials in adaptive facades.
Our experimental equipment allows intensive experimental research within the research projects. This includes material and structural behaviour of components as well as the structural-physical behaviour of facade components.
