The German Center for Half-timbered Structures in Quedlinburg teaches the international students in the master's degree program "Architectural and Cultural Heritage" basic knowledge in half-timbered construction as well as their professional, material preserving and -supportive work, should damage be recognizable. In addition to lectures, the students will also be given practical exercises for stocktaking, building damage documentation, and craft skills in various construction conservation subsectors under the economic-ecological aspects of sustainability.

In addition to the students, there are a large number of construction specialists who not only look after the participants of the University but also act integratively with refugees. This is how a cultural monument that has been endeavored to become a place of multiform understanding between nations.
