Human + Non-Human Animal

“Human + Non-Human Animal” project revisits an on-going master plan of Oberbillwerder in Hamburg, Germany. The proposed concept envisions a future city that associates human beings with plants and non-human animals; to live together and to share a common space.

The approach system of the last century has the idea that you might be able to put nature in a box. We are able to differentiate natural system and manmade system. Traditional cities have led to the imprisonment of other species around us, causing us to lose them day by day.

Now, in the 21st century, the approach should be about the gradient, blurring boundaries of city, respecting all species and build bridges between science and design. To begin with this concept and to start a brave new world, human-centered design must come to an end.
From here, we start evolving and designing for multi-species.
