BitBooster – Bringing high-speed transport research into application
When large datasets move between sites, useful delivery rate matters. BitBooster brought FILA research on reliable transport into a funded technology-transfer project. Its aim was to develop university technology for distributing large datasets in cloud environments into a product-ready software solution.
The project built on scientific work on wide-area transport. This includes delivery to multiple receivers, loss recovery and adaptation of the sending rate to available capacity. Published BQL congestion-control research places its development in the context of CloudBDT and BitBooster.

Technology transfer adds the question of how a method becomes a usable software system. Transport logic, endpoint behaviour and operating conditions have to work together.
BitBooster illustrates the path from a scientific question to application. RMDT explains the protocol approach. Current questions in learned transport control are investigated by AI-RMDT.
