In 2022, my life took an unexpected turn when the war forced me to leave my home country.

From a young age, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in the dynamic and ever-evolving world of IT! That's why I studied software engineering at Odesa Polytechnic National University.
Today I am in Köthen, where I study Applied Computer Science - Digital Media and Game Development at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. As I had already learnt German in Ukraine, it wasn't a major obstacle for me.
After a year here, I've got used to the local rules and regulations and often find myself giving advice to newcomers.

Whether through video calls, instant messaging or social media, the physical distance between us is less daunting and allows us to share our lives, our stories and our support, despite the kilometres that lie between us. I love the warm atmosphere and diverse international community in Germany. It is remarkable that I have had the privilege of connecting with people from all over the world, resulting in a rich network of friendships and cultural experiences like I have never experienced before.

My aim is to simultaneously acquire a sound theoretical understanding and practical knowledge that I can apply in my research and projects. In doing so, I want to make a meaningful contribution and act as a well-trained expert for my country. This led me to the idea of creating the EcoRestore project, which aims to revitalise and improve Ukraine's ecological system. The effects of the war have caused great damage to Ukrainian nature and its diverse flora and fauna. Therefore, I want to achieve positive and sustainable changes for our environment and communities.

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, I can stay in touch with my friends and family in Ukraine and bridge the physical distance between us.
