The International Office is the interface for all international activities at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. We inform and advise students, university lecturers and staff on their way from Bernburg, Dessau and Köthen to their destinations abroad or from wherever they come to Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.
At the Center for Continuing Education, we support Anhalt University students and graduates when it comes to establishing contact with interesting employers, preparing application documents, searching for suitable internships and job offers. We also organize a number of events to prepare both students and graduates for a professional life.
The FOUND IT! Center for Entrepreneurship is committed to promoting and consolidating the start-up culture at the university, providing comprehensive support for start-up projects run by university staff and continuously improving the conditions for business start-ups in Anhalt University’s region.
Continuing education advice
Anhalt University of Applied Sciences’ Center for Continuing Education is set up to give those interested in studying at the University the chance to do so even if they do not have a traditional educational background.
Sometimes we just need someone to talk to, maybe because studies are overwhelming, because relationships are causing problems, or because of stress or anxiety. At Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, students are offered a protected setting in which problems like these can be dealt with confidentially.

The social counselling service provides tailored information and advice on a wide range of issues concerning studies and everyday life, especially on financing studies and on claims against service providers
Studying with impairments
Students with impairments and those suffering from chronic illnesses have a statutory right to compensation for disadvantages in their studies and examinations (so-called hardship provisions). Each case needs to be assessed individually. We are happy to help you.

The Netzwerk Ernährungskommunikation (Nutrition Communication Network) offers individual nutritional advice, courses and lectures as well as further training opportunities for interested parties on all aspects of nutrition as part of Anhalt University’s healthcare management system.
State funding for students is called BAföG. The goal of BAföG is to enable young people from lower-income families an optimal education. This means that not everyone is entitled to BAföG. Decision and advice on entitlements need to be assessed on case-by-case basis. Feel free to contact us.
