Karyna

During my studies in Kiev, I had no idea that I would end up in Germany and study and develop at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.

I come from the city of Tarasha. It is a small Ukrainian town where I was born and graduated with a degree in accounting. Later, I attended the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine in Kiev and studied English at the Faculty of Philology.

That's when my passion for languages began.

Due to the war in Ukraine, my brother, who also studied at this university, suggested that I move to Germany and study "Food and Agricultural Economics" at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.

The German language became the be-all and end-all of my studies, as I already had some knowledge of English, it was easier for me to learn German.

It's super helpful to just chat with classmates because you feel comfortable and don't worry about saying something wrong.

Now I feel reassured and grateful for the opportunity to live and study in Germany, attend lectures at a university in Central Europe, learn about new traditions, gain excellent knowledge, and I am eager to implement many different ideas in my home country as soon as possible!

Challenging and exciting, complicated and demanding at the same time - every day I was faced with new tasks, applications and regulations.
