An unplanned trip to Germany opened up a whole world of possibilities for me.

Doing research in the walls of underground shelters was not easy. Therefore, I was enthusiastic about the offer of development opportunities in Germany.

This was my first serious trip abroad and at the beginning, it was significantly challenging before I got used to my new life. Moreover, I had to endure separation from my family and frequent worries about relatives remaining in Ukraine. With the constant support from my colleagues and caring people around me, I was able to overcome the overall stress and to continue my studies in the new environment. Now, after some time in Germany, I feel serene, willing, and ready to concentrate on achieving much higher targets as compared to a year ago.

Now I’m working on a scientific project related to the study of graph algorithms in data transmission. According to my personal feelings, this direction is at the intersection of mathematics and programming - two major fields of great interest. Looking into the future, I strongly believe that I can contribute to the development of science and my research can be useful for Germany and Ukraine.

Unfortunately, war creates difficulties not only in everyday life but also injures scientific activity.
