Course content and objectives

The digitalization and networking of media has become one of the most important economic factors in nearly all industries in recent years. In the context of the Industry 4.0 dynamics, modern technologies in the media and information industry are a driving force for all economic sectors. As experts of digital media technologies, our graduates are in demand in management and development positions in modern companies as well as everywhere digital media and IT technologies are in use.

Requirements

  • University degree
    • Qualified Bachelor's degree in the field of Media technology, Industrial engineering or comparable programs with a minimum duration of 7 semesters (210 ECTS)
    • For applicants whose bachelor's degree program included less than 210 credits and for applicants whose bachelor's degree program falls within a program designated as comparable, additional modules of up to 30 credits may be specified
  • Language skills

    Recognized German language certificates for international applicants:

    • TestDaF Niveaustufe 4xTDN4,
    • DSH2,
    • or another acceptable German language certificate

Career Opportunities

With a master’s degree from the Digital Media and Management program, graduates are qualified for positions in the German “höherer Dienst” as well as for continuing their academic career with a doctorate. They can take on management tasks as well as senior positions in research and development especially in the areas of digital media production and networked digitalization. This means that our graduates have many different possible career paths in a growing market in our media and information society with links to other industries and business sectors.
