Course content and objectives

Graduates of the distance learning Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering are excellently qualified for classic engineering professions. These are characterized by an extreme diversity in job opportunities. The professional fields range from planning to development, project work, production, inspections, quality assurance, initial operations, and sales of electrical components, equipment, machines, and systems. Engineers are desired experts in almost all areas and industries (electrical and electronics industry, energy technology, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, medical technology, etc.).

The distance learning program in Electrical Engineering is structured with modules. For successfully completed areas of teaching (modules), points are given according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The number of credits depends on the scope of a module and the workload required to complete it. The work done is therefore internationally comparable and recognized. The details on the degree program and exam schedule are regulated in the program’s study regulations (Studienordnung, SO) and the examination regulations (Prüfungsordnung, PO). The study fee for materials - books, instructional material, lecture notes - and the on-site courses is € 650 per semester.

Graduates of the distance learning program in Electrical Engineering are able to solve diverse and complex tasks in professional life innovatively using principles of engineering. Anhalt University of Applied Sciences teaches students in this program solid foundational knowledge in math, natural sciences, and engineering. In addition, courses go more in-depth into subject-specific skills and abilities. Besides an understanding of engineering, they obtain methodological and social skills such as independence and the ability to work in a team.
