  • § 2 Structure and objective of the degree program

Teaching and studies prepare students for professional activities in economics, business and administration to provide them with the necessary professional and practical knowledge, skills and methods. This enables students to carry out independent academic work, think critically, and act independently, responsibly, and in a socially aware manner. From a professional point of view, the program provides students with a broad academic education that leads to a generalist qualification. This enables students to work in different professional fields in the long term. Students also train their cognitive and social skills. These interdisciplinary qualifications enable graduates to recognize problems specific to their professional fields and with a leadership style characterized by social skills they can develop tailored solutions to these problems. This degree program is, in particular, designed to prepare students for careers in governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as for positions in nationally and internationally active businesses. Students will also learn to use economic law and policy instruments and will be able to describe and independently analyze current problems in the context of the international economy and thus develop possible solutions using scientific methods. The integration of projects and case studies, among other things, ensures the application orientation of the degree program. Bachelor’s degree graduates also qualify for admission to a master’s degree program.

  • § 10 Types of instruction

During project work supervised by authorized examiners and through independent small group activities, students contribute to the processing, analyzing and identification of solutions to problems typically faced in professional practice.

  • § 11 Internship/scientific project

(2) The duration of the internship/academic project is at least 18 weeks. (3) Internships/academic projects will be carried out according to the internship regulations of the degree program. (4) The internship/academic project may also be replaced by a study phase at a cooperating foreign university - mobility window.
