Course content and objectives
Knowledge of financing, controlling, leadership, strategy, and marketing are also taught in agricultural bachelor’s degree programs, but future managers should learn about them in more depth. This is because many agricultural companies, conventional just as ecological, today are looking for competent experts who also have the essential leadership skills needed for management positions.
In the context of the degree program, which is intended to be a distance-learning program, future leaders are prepared to take on management positions. In agriculture as well as in agribusiness, management knowledge and skills are needed to recognize current trends at an early point in time, view them as challenges for the company, and implement targeted actions in response. Applying merit-based human resource management, skillful leading of discussions and negotiations, controlling, and strategic management are the key requirements for this.
The distance learning program in Agricultural Management is completed using modern e-learning methods. Of course intensive supervision by the university’s faculty is guaranteed. With a maximum of 25 students per semester, active networking and mutual exchanges are a part of the experience.

-
Degree program requirements
The formal requirements are:
- a first academic degree such as a bachelor's or "Diplom" (diploma)
- a minimum of one year of professional experience after your first degree
In addition, prospective students are required to participate in an individual admission interview focused on previous degrees, practical experience and motivation. Therefore, admission also depends on individual requirements (intention and motivation) and a personal impression. By this, we want to ensure that only participants suitable for management positions join the degree program.
Graduates with a bachelor's degree of 180 credits must successfully complete 6 additional modules from the master's degree programs of Anhalt University in order to achieve the 300 credits required for an accredited master's degree program. For this purpose, we create a specifically agreed-upon curriculum with each student.
Why do I need a degree as admission requirement?
Bachelor's degree programs often focus on technical, methodological, and social skills. The demand for leadership qualities arises only later during one’s professional career. In this master’s degree program, the focus is entirely placed on the requirements of leadership positions. -
