Course content and objectives

The Bachelor's program in International Business is a modern, future-oriented economics education in Business Studies. The program is structured in a six-semester study period with mainly compulsory courses in English. An 18-week internship is also mandatory after the fifth semester including the Bachelor's thesis and Bachelor's colloquium.

The International Business degree program prepares students thoroughly for a - mainly commercial - career: Industry, services, trade, banks, insurance companies and administrations are potential employers in Germany and abroad.

The focus is on business management basics and methodological knowledge as well as international aspects. The program also includes intensive training in German as a foreign language, the acquisition of intercultural skills and the development of the corresponding communication skills.



Requirements

  • University entrance qualification

    To study a Bachelor's degree program at Anhalt University, you will need a university entrance qualification(HZB). Typically, this is the equivalent of a German Abitur (e.g. high school diploma or A-levels) or a subject-specific qualification. However, there are also other qualifications that permit you to study. If your HZB is restricted to a specific German state (note in your transcript), then it might also be recognized in Saxony-Anhalt.

    • DSH2
    • or another acceptable German language certificate

     

    International Business (English taught program)

    Applicants must demonstrate an analogous level of proficiency in English:

    • TOEFL: mind. 88 internet based / 605 paper based
    • CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English): Grades A / B / C
    • CAE (Certificate of Advanced English): Grades A / B / C
    • IELTS (International English Language Testing System): mind. 6,5
