Course content and objectives
Students obtain a deep understanding of processes and their interfaces in order to be scientifically and entrepreneurially successful in the global competition at the management level. They expand the knowledge they gained in the bachelor’s program and engineering working methods. The Master of Engineering degree enables graduates to enter into careers in all companies that work with general mechanical engineering, in particular the automobile industry and its national and international suppliers. Successful graduates of Anhalt University’s degree program find interesting managerial positions in research and development divisions. The master’s degree also qualifies graduates to start a doctorate. Graduates can also enter into higher civil service (höherer Dienst).

Information about the degree program
With this degree program, you can get ahead! Many doors will open for you later in terms of positions with project and personnel responsibility.
You can join this on-campus master's degree program in either the winter and the summer semester, as the modules only last one semester. The compulsory modules offered to you are "Spezielle Werkstofftechnik", "Spezielle Fertigungstechnik", "Werkzeugmaschinen und Bearbeitungsroboter" as well as "Mechatronik". Other modules such as "Angewandte Grundlagen", "Finite Elemente Methode 2" (FEM 2), Computer Aided Engineering and "Produktentwicklung" complete the picture.
You can also tailor the master's program to your personal needs by choosing four elective modules. Our portfolio includes the following modules: "Elektronik und Fahrzeugregelung", "Numerische Fluiddynamik", "Produktdesign", "Betriebsfestigkeit" and "Unternehmensplanspiel Management/Logistik". You can also choose a project instead of a module after consulting with our staff.
You complete this degree program with a master’s thesis. You can write the thesis in a company or in our Department.

Welche Zulassungsvoraussetzungen für den Master Maschinenbau sind zu beachten?
Für das Masterstudium Maschinenbau (Direktstudium) sind folgende Zulassungsvoraussetzungen zu erfüllen:
- abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium Maschinenbau oder einem vergleichbaren Studiengang mit 210 Credits (dies entspricht i.d.R. einem 7-semestrigem Studiengang)
- Studienabschluss im Bachelor mindestens mit dem Prädikat "gut" (bis 2,5) - ansonsten wird eine Eignungsfeststellung erforderlich.
- Sprachnachweis Deutsch für ausländische Bewerber: TestDaF Niveaustufe 4 x TDN 4 oder vergleichbare Abschlüsse (DSH2 oder C1)
