On Saturday, December 14th, Bernburg's annual "Klosterweihnacht" rolled around, a unique Christmas market and the true, traditional highlight of the season. But in addition to mulled wine and German gingerbread, there was an item on the agenda that was far from ordinary: Our international students who come to Bernburg from all over the world showed the visitors what Christmas looks, sounds and tastes like in their home countries. The program, ranging from Indian dance to Mexican drinks and Chinese songs enchanted the audience and was an absolute success. Of course our students also learned a thing or two about German Christmas celebrations along the way - this year, Christmas in Bernburg was a holiday of cultural exchange!
