The Dean's Office comprises the Dean, the Vice-Dean, the Dean of Academic Affairs, as well as the Dean’s secretary and ancillary planning and organizational staff. The Dean's Office is headed by the Dean. It organizes the department’s day-to-day operations, administers the allocation of funds for the carrying out of responsibilities, and monitors the use of these funds. The Dean’s Office is also responsible for designating the responsibilities of staff assigned to the department, particularly in relation to teaching and examination obligations, as well for tasks connected to the supervision of students.

Department Executive Committee
The Department Executive Committee is the department’s collegial decision-making body and is responsible for the organization of the study program. This includes ensuring the range of courses on offer are within the framework of the available facilities, extends to making decisions on program and examination regulations, and finally ends with awarding university degrees. The committee also has the task of implementing the necessary quality assurance measures which are based on a regular evaluation of teaching an which are based on a regular evaluation of teaching and which include subsequent initiatives to reform the study programs. The Department Executive Committee sets priorities for research projects and their coordination. Furthermore, the committee is also responsible for drawing up a range of proposals including structural and development plans, new appointments, and statutes that regulate the procedures and criteria for the allocation of study places in the university selection process.

Board of Examiners
The Board of Examiners is responsible for organizing and administering the examinations. This includes the recognition of examination results as well as the responsibility for the legal supervision of compliance with the examination regulations for all degree programs in the department. Among other things, the Board of Examiners also appoints the examiners, determines the place and date of the examination and monitors the examination deadlines. It is also the “court of appeal”.
