Language certificates are additional offerings provided by the Language Center that require registration and involve costs. They do not replace the specialized language courses in the degree programs.
TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)
The TOEIC test is a well-known certification procedure in the professional world, based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The 10-week preparation course is offered free of charge by the Language Center. The language proficiency test itself requires a processing fee, depending on the chosen test format.
At Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, students can choose between 2 test formats:
- Listening & Reading: A 75-minute comprehension test with multiple-choice questions related to listening and reading texts in business English.
- 4-Skills Test: A 120-minute test to assess listening and reading comprehension as well as speaking and writing skills of the test participants. Participants will need to read texts aloud and answer questions. The writing section evaluates the creation of various text types from business correspondence based on word choice and flow.
