Colorful scientists in the new BiFTec-FOOD4S degree program (2020 - 2022)

To study means to cultivate intercultural exchange in addition to a lot of knowledge transfer.
In the Joint Master degree program "BiFTec-FOOD4S" (SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEMS ENGINEERING, TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS) students in 4 countries (Belgium, Portugal, Germany, Ireland) and at 4 universities in Europe (KU Leuven in Gent, UCP in Porto, Hochschule Anhalt - Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen and Bernburg, UCD in Dublin) to deal with sustainable process and management methods, to re-evaluate food processing and to look into a future that considers needs of consumers and producers in an appreciative and resource-saving way.

Upon completion of the modules:

  • Sustainable Production of Plant based Food Products: Cereals
  • Sustainable Production of Food from Animal Origin: Meat and Dairy
  • Business and Economics in Food Industry

at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, the students designed their puzzle in the BiFTec-FOOD4S - logo and everyone takes home a piece of memory of their study time.

With joy and gratitude, in times of pandemic and travel restriction, 12 students were able to enjoy their time at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen and Bernburg, participating in online lectures and physically in internships and laboratory tests.
