International baton handed over

  • v. l. n. r.: Prof. Tim Reuter, Prof. Wolfram Schnäckel, Prof. Thomas Kleinschmidt, Prof. Jean Titze

One of the three most successful Erasmus programs, together with partners from Belgium, Portugal and Ireland, Prof. Schnäckel has accompanied 585 international students from more than 65 nations in teaching, internships and numerous master's theses. The contact to many students is still ongoing and the students of yesterday are today sought-after experts as well as scientists all over the world. Many of them were able to fulfill their desire to work in Germany and continue to maintain contact with Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.

In addition to studying at 4 universities in Europe, the students were also convinced by the practical relevance to industry and the intercultural exchange. In the alumni network, the students are still networked today and maintain a lively professional exchange and personal contacts.

Prof. Schnäckel has always maintained collegial contact with KU Leuven and has actively collaborated on the repeatedly adapted concepts of the study programs. Only together as a team was and is it possible to master the scientific teaching of KU Leuven (Belgium), UCP (Portugal), UCD (Ireland) and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences with all colleagues involved for the students with all challenges.
We say: "THANK YOU, Prof. Schnäckel, for your constant patience, perseverance and innovation in all your fields of activity and honorary posts, which you hold and maintain".

Now the time has come to pass on the "baton - Biftec". Starting in October 2023, Prof. Tim Reuter and as deputy Prof. Jean Titze will take over the course management for Biftec at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. Many thanks to Prof. Wolfram Schnäckel (head of the study program until September 2023) and Prof. Thomas Kleinschmidt (deputy) for your conviction in the large field of food science both in the national but especially in the global sector. You have made Anhalt University of Applied Sciences known worldwide through your work over many decades.
