Program overview

  • four semester degree program with 120 ECTS credits
  • issued degree: Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering
  • program will be offered either in winter semester (starts on October 1) or summer semester (starts on April 1)
  • all engineering and medical classes will be taught in Köthen
  • medical classes focus on surgery, cardiology and intensive care
  • Biomedical engineering emphasis areas are
    - Virtual Reality in Medicine
    - Biomedical Imaging
    - Biomedical Instrumentation
    - Biomedical Signal Processing
  • special topic: Biomedical Engineering and Management
  • language of instruction is English or German (you can study our program completely in English; since most courses of our bilingual program are taught in English, no German language skills are required)
  • choice of around 40 offered courses
