On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences once again invites you to its traditional monastery festival. The popular summer festival begins at 4 p.m. and transforms the historic Kloster Bernburg (Building - Bernburg) into a lively stage for music, dance and culture. Organized by staff and students of the university, the festival offers a varied programme for all generations.

Whether in the inner courtyard, outer courtyard or in the ruins: there will be music, dancing and celebrations everywhere. The musical spectrum ranges from pop and rock to punk rock and thrash metal to afrobeats, EDM and drum & bass. The line-up includes Black Line, Regular John, Hypewertszeit, Beatray, Afrotech, MC Heyer, Jahcasulu and Laura Folkers. The event kicks off with the cello ensemble "Ultracello", which will also provide the musical accompaniment to the official opening at 5.30 pm. International students from the university will also perform on the stage in the ruins and present the "Music connects" project. A special highlight: the children's choir will open the program on the stage in the inner courtyard at 5 pm.

There is also plenty to discover away from the music: On the monastery meadow, a creative market invites visitors to browse, while the "Kloster Experience" awaits visitors in the large drawing room with KI Kloster Vernissage, Kloster Schnitzeljagd, "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" monastery brother edition and Kloster Mario Kart. Design students present their work in the cloister, and visitors can immerse themselves in virtual experiences or enjoy regional wines from the Teßner wine manufactory in Crüchern in the monastery café.

Anhalt University of Applied Sciences would like to thank all supporters, associations and sponsors for making the monastery festival possible again this year.
