Anhalt University of Applied Sciences uses the financial resources provided by the state of Saxony-Anhalt to award doctoral scholarships to promote young scientists and artists and to strengthen the research focus of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.
Legal basis
The basis for this is the Act on the Promotion of Young Academics and Artists(Graduate Promotion Act - Grad FG) in the version published on July 30, 2001 (GVBI. LSA. 318), last amended by the Act amending the State Graduate Promotion Act of December 10, 2015 (GVBl.LSA p. 613),
and the
Ordinance on the Implementation of the Graduate Funding Act(Graduate Funding Ordinance - GradFVO) of 02.06.1992 (GVBl. LSA p. 402), last amended by the third ordinance amending the Graduate Funding Ordinance of 04.02.2016 (GVBI. LSA p. 52)
Financial support
The standard term is 3 years, 1 year extension can be applied for in exceptional cases.
The amount of the scholarship is 1,400 euros per month and a maximum of 1,100 euros per year for material and travel expenses.
Supplements are possible for families and severely disabled persons.

The doctoral scholarships are awarded on specific dates. These dates will be announced here in advance.
Next application deadline: Mo. 31.08.2026
- Up to two scholarships can be awarded in the current call for applications.
- The term of the scholarships is 01.10.2026 to 30.09.2029
Information on applying for and being awarded a scholarship
Application:
Applications for a scholarship in accordance with the Graduate Regulations can be submitted to Anhalt University of Applied Sciences via the FTGZ. The award committee decides on the awarding of scholarships.
