University Emergency Management – Sichere Hochschule

Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is committed to providing an environment that is free from fear of violence, threats, stalking, and other unwanted behavior for all members of the university and academic community.

An emergency management system can be used to assess threatening behavior and initiate measures to defuse situations or prevent them from arising in the first place. All members of the university are called upon to recognize threatening behavior.

If you notice any of the following, please try and help. Immediately inform the university's emergency management team about the incident:

• For any form of physical violence
• For any form of threats of violence, whether written, verbal, through phone or online contact
• When visibly bringing or displaying weapons
• When expressing violent or aggressive fantasies
• When expressing suicidal intentions
• In the event of sexual assault
• In the event of stalking or bullying

The interdepartmental emergency management team consists of members of the Board of Management (Präsidium), Administration, Student Service Center (SSC), Legal Affairs, Human Resources and Psychological Counseling. It is only by looking at and working across these various areas that we can deal with emergencies in the best way possible.

We cooperate with staff and offices across the university when dealing with critical incidents. We are committed to providing support in cases such as assault and threatening behavior. Depending on the issue, we may also involve our internal partners in the case management.
